Who We Are

Who Are Brand Pharmacists?

Brand Pharmacists is an international collective of business growth experts. We can manage entire projects or provide some extra help when you need it. Our team includes marketers, designers, copywriters, creatives, technologists, talent specialists, strategists and analysts. All working together to make good brands better: helping them succeed and to overcome any rivals pursuing a less positive agenda.

Brand Pharmacists are all experienced professionals. They're used to working with founders, leadership teams, marketing professionals, HR specialists, agency partners and in-house creative teams. Defining and doing the right things to deliver results.

How We Work

A message from our founder

Andrew Warner

Over the last 30 years I've been fortunate enough to work with successful companies such as Microsoft, the BBC, Sony and Expedia Group.  I've been honoured to become a Fellow of The Marketing Society and to lead campaigns which have won awards at Cannes Lions, D&AD and recognised for Marketing Effectiveness by the IPA, DMA, WARC & Effies.

I've also advised leading SaaS start-ups, travel technology vendors, Fintech companies and eCommerce marketplaces. In short, I've helped businesses grow and built a lot of brands, in the UK, Europe, US and Asia.

More recently I've worked with a new breed of ethical brands, companies improving the wellbeing of individuals, communities and the environment. Whose profits fund fair wages, good employment practises and investment in quality products with excellent customer service. Many of these businesses face competition from established organisations that have chosen a different approach: businesses which fund their growth through high margin/low value products, low wages, aggressive tax avoidance or environmental exploitation. So I decided to create a network of experienced professionals dedicated to helping the good brands win.

Why Brand Pharmacists?

Two things led me to start Brand Pharmacists:

  • Talented professionals leaving big businesses, management consultancies and agency networks in increasing numbers. Many of them becoming independent consultants, creators and service providers. This trend has accelerated since the pandemic, fuelled by the demand for more flexible working practices and enabled by wider access to effective tools for remote collaboration.

  • An increasing awareness within society that not all growth is good. Exploiting people and our planet, for short-term financial gain, has created significant, long term, societal and environmental issues. Aided and abetted by a traditional advertising industry thats frequently reliant on serving bad actors and overworking its underpaid employees.

I figured that there's a lot of talent out there, available to help good organisations compete successfully against the bad ones. But even talented individuals can struggle to affect change alone. So Brand Pharmacists unites and coordinates the collective skills of diverse individuals to power a movement for change.

Our experienced team of strategists will work with you to diagnose what's needed to achieve your ambitions, prescribing effective solutions tailored for your context. Then we'll assign specialists from our network to dispense the desired results, whilst monitoring the vital stats that define success. We work in partnership with our clients. And we won't work with everyone or anyone. We limit the number of businesses we work for, so that we can serve our clients properly and direct demand to organisations with positive purpose.

What good looks like

We're here to help the businesses and organisations creating positive experiences for their customers, colleagues and communities. Those which operate with respect to people and the planet. Organisations turning ideas into products & services that change the world.

But we aren't about purpose over profit. Fair profits pay people's wages and raise taxes to fund the institutions which support our societies. Financial sustainability allows businesses and not-for-profit organisations to consistently deliver value to those they serve and provide stability for their employees. Below are some of ways that organisations we work with add value to the world.

Creators

The change makers. People and organisations brave enough to take creative action. Those who believe in sustainable quality and craft. Innovators with the passion to make better things that make the world better.

Customers

We work with brands which stand out by standing for the quality of their product and service. Companies for whom great customer service an objective, not a cost to object to.

Climate

Climate change is the defining issue of our time. We are at a defining moment. The world is warming. The consequences are unthinkable. We're taking action and support others to do so too.

Communities

Brand Pharmacists covet clients who contribute to their communities. Supporting local skills, employment and education. Backing local sport, culture and social well-being.

Colleagues

We believe in organisations that treat employees well, pay them fairly, provide safe work environments, develop talent and respect individual values, qualities and differences.

Champions for change

Change for good needs champions. Brand Pharmacists amplify the impact of charities, NGOs, individuals and businesses fighting for a better quality of life within a fairer more sustainable world.

Care & wellbeing

We want to work with brands and organisations creating products and services which contribute to physical and mental well-being.

A safe space for all

We are determined to create a safe space for everyone working for and with Brand Pharmacists.

We strive to build an inclusive culture with quality of opportunity, fairness, accountability and transparency built into every decision we take. Diversity is at the core of what we do, because by having a diverse network of specialists we can combine different experiences, outlooks and perspectives to reach better solutions for all our clients- the chemistry of combining different elements to keep finding better solutions is the very essence of brand pharmacy.

We're hard on hate and enthusiastic about education. We want to keep learning how to create a fairer work environment for everyone. We will not tolerate bullying, ableism, racism, sexism, ageism or homophobia.  We are advocates for social mobility and encourage different ways of working to allow the neurodiversity of human minds to thrive.
